Our staff is happy to make recommendations for things to see and do during your stay in Kratie. Many guests enjoy renting a bicycle or motorbike by the day to sightsee on their own. We provide free roundtrip transportation to the town center from 6 am to 10 pm. Guests can visit other locations in one of our tuk tuks for a small fee, depending on the destination. Popular sights include:

River Dolphins - located in the Mekong River near Kampi, a small village about 15 km north of Kratie, a pod of the endangered Irawaddy dolphins can be seen in their natural habitat. The Cambodian government operates a concession with boats that take visitors out to the dolphin habitat throughout the day for a sliding fee depending on the number of persons. 

Sambok Mountain - actually a hill between Kratie and Kampi that has an active pagoda on top with some curious monkeys and colorful statuary. There is also a very old pagoda no longer in use. From the top of the hill one can see beautiful views of the countryside and the Mekong River. 

Sambor - north of Kampi, features the Mekong Turtle Conservation Center and a famous pagoda called Wat Sarsar Mui Roi (100 Columns Temple).

Koh Trong - a large island in the Mekong River opposite Kratie Town that can be reached by ferry. The island is popular for cycling and motorbike riding to tour the idyllic farmlands and pomelo orchards. In pomelo season many families operate small stands where the sweet/tart fruit is served to visitors.

There are also tour operators based in Kratie that offer packages for individual or small group tours including kayaking and sightseeing and culture tours utilizing a variety of transportation.
